AT-AT Wedding Cake

Awesome, albeit nerdy, cake.

So, this wedding cake (made by pastry chef Teresa Ulrich) comes complete with Ewok Cupcakes!  But why Admiral Ackbar and  Mon Mothma?  The pair were certainly spotted together on the bridge of a rebel Destroyer in ROTJ, but were they ever on Hoth?  Then again, i don’t think the furry little yub-nub loving ewoks were ever on the ice planet either.  Bah! details…

Still, do the bride and groom really identify with those two?  Why not Han and Leia?  Jabba and Salacious CrumbBib Fortuna?  Threepio and artoo?  Just sayin…seems like an odd choice for bride and groom miniatures.  Leia and Wicket the Ewok makes more sense.  Pretty awesome, nonetheless.

Funny, in that, “look what i found on the Internet” sort of way.

What is interesting in a, “I wonder who the guys are that staged this picture?” sort of way is that it kind of looks like this was staged in Mexico or somewhere else South of the border…?  Not to mention that they misspelled “Death Star.”
