Disturbingly Descriptive Name for Teas

These herbal teas are “Herbal Stimulant Laxative” teas…you know, to get things moving.

I don’t know which one is more appealing, the image conjuring, “Chocolate Smooth Move” or “Get Regular.”

7-eleven Global Presence

So, though it was founded in Dallas (that most american of cities to spawn a convenience store chain), 7-eleven is owned by a japanese holding company.  AND shockingly has nearly double the number of 7-eleven locations in Japan than in the USA.  Shocking, really, when you consider how small Japan is (land mass and number of cities) relative to the US; the density of 7-eleven stores per city acre in a Japanese city like Tokyo must be way more than double the density in a US city.

Interesting, right?

Right?

i think so.

7-Eleven Snack Sticks

Though repulsive, these little greasy salty sticks of meat are only 25 cents.  I am curious as to why anyone would pay more for an equal-sized Slim Jim.  Can the quality really be better?

…begs that interesting question, is this the lowest quality meat you can commercially purchase?

KFC World Map

So there i was, in Nairobi airport, faced with the choice of sketchy-vegetable filled paninis, indian hot plate buffet or the “special” beef tips…

I chose the beef tips.

But lo, i had found myself in a unique moment of need.  I lamented the absence of Americana “safe” and over-cooked and over processed fast food.  Where was the colonel’s chicken chain when i needed it?  WHERE???

Never again! Here’s the world map of KFC locactions, in case you are curious.

Glad to know that they are populating the African continent, one nation at a time…is that little dot east of Madagascar a KFC in Mauritius???

Zounds!
